The Sawmill Inn was founded by area entrepreneurs, Don and Ruby Zimmerman in 1982. As Don loved working outdoors, his true passion was building. After Don and Ruby purchased the land, Don began lumbering the raw timber and sawed the pieces on his own sawmill. This would eventually lend the restaurant to the name “The Sawmill Inn”. The rustic and cozy environment that is The Sawmill Inn Restaurant & Pub, is a direct extension of Don and his craftsmanship.

In 1982, The Sawmill quickly became a welcoming, family friendly environment for people to gather, share stories and indulge in exceptional flavors. If you were to visit today, this is still very true. Generations of laughter and conversation fill the bustling air. As George Boggs mentions it, “I use to eat here (The Sawmill) as a kid.” The Sawmill left and lasting impact on George’s dad that he dreamt of one day purchasing the restaurant but the opportunity never arose. One day in 2001, George was able to fulfill one of his father’s dreams and purchase The Sawmill for his own.

As it was in 1982, today, the Sawmill Inn is still family owned and operated by the George and Holly Boggs family. Both George and Holly pride themselves on using quality ingredients while delivering exceptional flavors at affordable prices. At The Sawmill Inn Restaurant & Pub, we invite you to celebrate the love of food, community and spirit of others.
